The DSS-1 is an impressive early digital synthesiser that offers eight-note polyphony, two oscillators per voice, a noise source, two multi-stage envelopes, a resonant filter, and auto-bend. Similar to Korg's previous flagship DW-8000 but goes even further with features like twin digital delays, oscillator sync, improved unison mode, and a versatile analogue VCF switchable between 12 and 24dB. Unlike the DW-8000, the DSS-1's oscillators can source from sampling, additive synthesis, or hand drawn waveforms. It has a warm sound, making it great for pads, textures, basses, and drones, using waveform samples altered via data sliders, including filtering and envelopes.
The Nalbantov USB Floppy emulator is specifically configured to the DSS-1, eliminating the need to swap floppy disks over in order to access different sounds and features. Instead, it has the capacity to store the data of 1000 floppy disks in one single USB drive, in essence acting exactly as a floppy disk would except with assured reliability and greater memory capacity.
Includes original box, Nalbantov USB floppy emulator & floppy disk. Standard 256K internal memory. 220 Volt Unit.
