Perfectly suited to short range monitoring and surveillance of work stations and access points, the illuminator's 150° beam angle lights up areas measuring 73-feet, side to side.  The plate also provides an invisible mounting point for installation of an available night vision mini-cam.

While the infrared beam and target impact areas are invisible, the Covert Infrared Plate’s 850nm LED array can be seen by the naked eye as dull red pinpoints. On the plus side though, the covert illuminator's range and beam coverage is significantly larger than its ultracovert counterpart.

Should you choose covert or ultracovert? The answer depends on the sensitivity of your application. For less critical situations where the priority is maximum range and coverage, covert systems are your best choice. However if under no circumstance do you want to provide clues that infrared surveillance is in effect, then ultracovert is the way to go.
